Artist's Description

I love gray horses and have ridden many over the years. I painted this one in celebration of grays. I like how the dapples are reflected in the stone wall as well. The geometry of the doorways reminds me of some of my floorcloths too!

This piece, called “Three Grays” is acrylic on canvas on board and is 10” x 17”. The original art is in an antique mahogany frame makes the overall size 16”x23”.

About Lisa Curry Mair

Lisa Curry Mair

Since establishing her business, Canvasworks Designs, in 1992, Lisa has been creating paintings for homes throughout the US, Canada and beyond, with over 1500 pieces now in private collections, museums, shops and galleries. Working from a studio in a 1790s home, at the base of a mountain in a really old, small town in Vermont, her art reflects a time gone by. Peaceful colors, pastoral scenes and quiet images of farm life and equine themes prevail and a certain folk art feel adds a touch of whimsy and simplicity to her work.
