Artist's Description

From a series of paintings of old Weathersfield, Vermont barns. They called out to the artist, begging for recognition of what they once were, before they fall to the ground. So very sad.

About Lisa Curry Mair

Lisa Curry Mair

Since establishing her business, Canvasworks Designs, in 1992, Lisa has been creating paintings for homes throughout the US, Canada and beyond, with over 1500 pieces now in private collections, museums, shops and galleries. Working from a studio in a 1790s home, at the base of a mountain in a really old, small town in Vermont, her art reflects a time gone by. Peaceful colors, pastoral scenes and quiet images of farm life and equine themes prevail and a certain folk art feel adds a touch of whimsy and simplicity to her work.
